Leaf Eater Why Is My Tortoise A Picky Eater?

Why is my tortoise a picky eater? - leaf eater

My partner has a sulcata tortoise and its almost 2 years. This is a real picky and only eats a green leaf, romaine lettuce or kale. If we try other foods to eat to be rejected. We obtain the powder of calcium in their diet. I tried to feed them carrots and apples and bananas and cactus fruit, but do not move on. Maybe someone can help me?

Sprinkle the salad is ok, not even a turtle, which are filled with water and the animals, for nothing, find some of whom Danel Beautiful garden, some frissee, small broccoli, mixed with a little hay, and vitamins and cuttlebone .

almost all the weeds you find in your garden is good for your turtle, and are much better for him than any other fruit or vegetable no money in the supermarket.

even if it be picky, the only one to recall what documents it is a turtle in good health will not starve themselves if they do not come immediately, so that in front of him when hungry enough to eat.

You may have to wean him slowly to salad. I like it because the salad is fresh, but have little nutritional value. You can try endive or escarole. Bananas are not the best, which do not contain food or phosphorus. This blocks the uptake of calcium by consistently supplied. Bestfoods are dandelion leaves and flowers, mustard greens, kale, parsnips, papaya, strawberries, roses and hibiscus. You also need a food reptile vitamin. She did not mention whether calcium has a D3 supplement. This is necessary as well.
Good luck!
